Der Anfang hat mich um ehrlich zu sein sehr verwirrt. Man wird so ins Geschehen geworfen und weiß eigentlich nicht so recht was vor sich geht.
Lexas Seele wurd noch vor ihrer Geburt von ihren Eltern im Tausch für Wohlstand und Reichtum einem Dämonen versprochen. Irgendwann würde er kommen und sie selbst auch zu sich holen.
Sie trägt die Markierung des Dämonen, die sie unsterblich macht. Und als plötzlich die vier apokalyptischen Reiter auftauchen und der Weltuntergang bevorsteht, versucht Lexa alles, um ihre Freunde und Familie zu retten.
Doch scheint alles mit ihr und ihrer Markierung zusammen zu hängen, und als ihr Meister kommt um sie zu holen, ist er doch ganz anders als erwartet. Nämlich super heiß und besitzergreifend.
Lexa ist ein sehr sarkatischer und furchtloser Charakter. Zum Glück zeigt sie doch ab und zu ihre weiche Seite, denn sonst würde sie sehr überheblich und unsympathisch wirken. Ich musst oft lachen, weil sie in den unmöglichsten Situationen immer noch einen frechen Spruch auf Lager hatte.
Ihre Freunde und vorallem ihre Mutter sind leider eher uninteressante Charaktere und tragen kaum merklich zum Geschehen bei. Sie sind in meinen Augen eher nicht wirklich notwendig. Dabei könnte vorallem Deb mit ihren hellseherischen Fähigkeiten doch wirklich nützlich sein. Und auch Cloud gefiel mir wirklich sehr gut.
Ich würde auch sehr gerne mehr über die Apokalypse an sich erfahren. Wer ist verantwortlich, wie kann man sie aufhalten, was hat Hades damit zu tun und vorallem was ist die Verbindung zu Lexa. Da hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass die Autorin uns etwas mehr Info gegeben hätte.
Der Charakter von Devil Jr. ist wirklich interessant! Ich bin super gespannt wie sich die Beziehung zwischen ihm und Lexa entwickeln wird.
Der Plot an sich ist sehr actionreich und spannend. Doch ich habe nicht rausfinden können, wohin Lexa überhaupt mit ihrer Familie flüchten will, denn wenn die Welt untergeht, ist es nirgendwo sicher.
Aber trotz all der kleinen Mängel, hat mich das Buch super unterhalten. Ich mochte es nicht weglegen und wollte unbedingt mehr von Devil Jr., haha
Bin auch schon sehr gespannt auf den nächsten Teil!

At the beginning I had some difficulties to get into the story, because I didn't really know what was going on. Everything happened so unexpected, I was really confused. But after some time I really enjoyed reading A Mark Unwilling a lot!
Lexa is a very sarcastic and fearless character. But luckily she shows some softness from time to time, or else she would seem very arrogant and unsympathetic. I often had to laugh because she's very witty, even in the most inappropriate moments.
Her friends and mostly her mom aren't very interesting and the don't help her out very much. Those characters are a bit unnecessary in my opinion. Only Cloud and Deb are a bit helpful at least with their abilities.
I would have liked to get to know a bit about the apokylpse as such. Who's responsible, how to stop it, what's the deal with Hades and why is it connected to Lexa. The author could have given us more details about it.
The most interesting character for me is Devil Jr. He's super hot and funnier than I expected. I'm really curious how the relationship between him and Lexa will unfold.
The plot as such is really action-packed and exciting. Even though I couldn't really figure out where the group is heading to, because since the world is going to end, no place would be safe enough.
But despite all of these little shortcomings, I really enjoyed that book a lot. I couldn't put it away and wanted to get more of Devil Jr., haha.
I'm really looking forward to the next book!
