Ich muss vorweg sagen, dass mich das Buch nicht umgehauen hat, aber man konnte es gut lesen.

Es geht um Ember, die durch ein Portal in eine andere Welt voll von Illusionen und Blutmagie gelangt. Ada findet sie als Erste und erkennt sofort, wer sie ist. Ember ist die Eine, die Retterin, die die Länder wieder vereinen soll... oder in den falschen Händen, die Welt ins Unglück stürzen kann.

Also versucht Ada sie vor den Augen des Prinzen zu verstecken, der schon auf der Suche nach ihr ist. Er ist als grausamer und gefürchteter Herrscher bekannt und Ember kann seinen Soldaten nicht entkommen und wird gefangen genommen.

Doch trotz ihrer Angst, zieht er sie magisch an und sie kann sich ihm nicht entziehen. Sie haben mehr gemeinsam, als erwartet...

Der Prinz gefiel mir von allen Charakteren am besten. Er war dunkel, mysteriös und überraschend sympathisch. Leider gefielen mir dafür die anderen Charaktere nicht so gut. Sie waren alle relativ langweilig und ihnen fehlte an Tiefe.
Das Buch konnte mich daher leider nicht ganz überzeugen. Man konnte es gut zwischendurch lesen, aber lange im Gedächtnis blieb es leider nicht.

Dennoch werde ich den nächsten Band lesen, da ich wissen will, wie die Geschichte weiter gehen wird.

I really liked the story revolving around Ember.

She came through a portal to a different world full of illusions and blood magic.

Ada is the first to find her and knows how special she is. Ember is the Saviour, the missing piece to join the world again or to shatter them completely if she get's into the wrong hands. So Ada tries to keep Ember hidden from the eyes of the Crescent Prince, who is on the hunt for her. He's known for being a leathal and heartless leader and Ember eventually finds herself captured by his soldiers.

But even though she's scared, she can't resist his dark and mysterious presence.

He's not what she expected him to be...

I really liked the Crescent Prince as a character. He's smart and surprisingly charming.

The other characters felt kind of flat and weren't as interesting as him.

It was a good read, but nothing to capture you afterwards for a long time.

I will definitely read the next book, because I'm curious how the story will develop.

The cover is so beautiful by the way! It caught my eyes instantly.
